Despite drizzle & damp conditions at the Islington ground, within 10 minutes of the start, the rain had stopped & the sun came out. Soon afterwards, the rae sound of a woodpecker could even be heard. PK's 71 was the diference between the sides & despite Toby Chausseaud's slow left arm cleaning up the tail, Captain Peter Hollman was satisfied with 183.

In reply, The Juniors kept on target but lost wickets. Their highest partnership being just 31 between opener Alastair Pritchard & ket batsman Jon Webley. Shahid Khan top scored with 25* but the wickets of David Morahan & Kularatne (again) kept the challenge in check & kept the Juniors at arms length for the second year in succesion. MoTM clearly Parinda Kularatne.
