Our miserable run was ended with a big victory in the league on a warm if cloudy day. The seamers bowled miserly spells on a pitch which did a hell of a lot and was compared to a vegetable patch by some (it was not that bad). A nice tea was merrily consumed. The chase got off to a bad start when Toby was bowled but Roy and then Richards steered us home as Mayfield only seemed to have one good bowler (who had our bats ducking and weaving). The introduction of obscenity fine boxes might be an idea!
