There was no end to the continuing run without a win & chasing a daunting looking total of 196 having inserted was probably not what Caoptain Steve Lay had had in mind but the late withdrawal of Pravin Badhe lefgt him short & further injuries to Jon Brown & a recuperating Nick Fuller left him a lesser mobile unit than he may have hoped for.

Having had some recent experience of failing to defend a total, given the chance here, he was hoping to keep the ex Barclays Bank side down to a manageable target but it was not to be & a serious challenge did not come to pass.
