Struggling to field a side in this pre-tour weekend, Saturday was cancelled & on Sunday 41 players were unavailable, P batted first but the bowlers, lead by opening quick Hudson, & off spinner Parley in particular, held the batters in check.

With Mileham(16 not out at a run a ball) batting at 10, the 1st boundary was in the 34th over, a slow outfield not helping matters. This was obviously too low a total but as opener John Hahn was out 1st ball to Roberts caught by Hollman in the gully, P felt they had hope.
At 55-1 all hope had seemingly appeared dashed but Hollman refused to give up & a match winning deserving spell of 5 wickets for 14 runs - 4 clean bowled by swinging the ball back up the slope into the right handers kept P's chances alive. Captain Wilkinson then too found a little movement & N lurched to 84-8. Too late in the end but a spirited performance in the end & if 2 catches had been taken by Devaney & a late drop by Patel in gully, P may yet have celebrated the best of all comebacks.
