A wonderful sunny pleasant day at the picturesque Plush.   Dorset Wanderers were the ever generous (if a little short handed this time) hosts.    

This writer was an hour and a half late (due to a 5 hour bike ride from Cheddar) but by the looks of it we made a steady start. Stacey did not make it at all (inconsistency on the field is one thing, inconsistency in playing ...).  After the steady contributions it was left to Luke to demonstrate some super power hitting over the short boundaries to register a wonderful first hundred in adult cricket off the penultimate ball - he managed his second 50 off just 18 balls.  John Hill was a noble sacrifice victim of an overambitious call.

Tea was very good.

Our bowling never really quite clicked.  Nuggsy struggled due to his bike ride and a lack of luck.  Skip Giaco bowled well.  Their skip was too good and too powerful for us and our chances really hinged on whether he would get out and he did not.  Ahmed produce a brilliant googly to dismiss the defector Webbo.  Luke followed up his batting with a good spell that kept us in the hunt.
