A hard won victory on a largely sunny evening at Victoria Park.  Opening pair Ireland and Boorman set us up for a big total in contrasting styles - Ben struggled initially against their one quality bowler (5 off 21 balls) whilst Ireland raced along when he could get the strike.  Eventually Ben found some gears and proceeded to a well deserved 50 off 44 balls.  Ireland perished to a rank full toss (a la Swann to Rogers) for 45 off 26 balls.  Chris (37 off 16) and Satish (19 off 12) then increased the tempo to ensure we made 170.

Old Fallopians are traditionally not much cop but this time had brought a pair of good openers and they put on a 100 but at below the asking rate as Ireland, Nuggsy and Satish bowled very well as skipper Aroon rotated the bowling very astutely.  Their middle order could not meet a stiff asking rate of 12 an over.  Three catches were shelled but otherwise it was a very good display of bowling and fielding by us.
