Pacific v Bank of England at Bank Sports Grd

Friendly fixture

Pacific's 1st defeat to the Bank was simply accountable to a poor batting display on a bouncy track, but which had also had some lateral for the bowlers.

P : 129-9 (ao). M Holliday 32. S Lay 31. Kendall 14.3-3-31-6.
BoE : 134-4. Howat 55*. T Mileham 7-1-28-2.

A useful position to reach a challenging total of 200 + had looked on at 91-2; but with over an hour before tea , a succession of poor shot selection & a lack of concentration saw a collapse to 129 all out. Off spinner John Kendall again doing most damage with 6-31 of 14.3 overs. Opener Matt Holliday not only top scored but it was his personal best too with 32 runs. A lack of any quick seamer meant Captain Steve Lay pinned his hopes on occasionals & spinners. Tim Mileham with 2-28 was the pick, however this was at a price & run stifling was at a premium as Bank romped home with 12 overs to spare.
