A determined challenge from the XI north of the river ended in frustration. Was the total too high ? Maybe. Certainly The Bank were never in the game as wickets fell too regularly as Captain Steev Lay engaged in all out attack. The resistance of number 6 Kidnee & Down meant that Pacific were 2 wickets short of reclaiming the honour last held in 2002.
Earlier, the batting had also imposed itself around Rob Bastin's 81. A real shame such fine surroundings could not witness a deserved maiden century, Kidnee spoiling the party with the ball on this occassion.
Useful contributions from Lahrie Mohammed & Matt Holiday + some tail wagging plundering by Chris Atkin & Shayne Rees probably took the game out of the Bank's reach.
MOTM Rob Bastin - he even took a cracking 1st slip catch off James Smith to dismiss Adey
XI:-Chris Atkin, Rob Bastin, Joe Bennett, Matt Holliday, Peter Hollman, Steve Lay, Lahrie Mohamed, Shayne Rees, James Smith, Jonathan Hardisty, Matt Patel.
12th man: Jon Brown.
