Pacific recovered from an extremely shakey start to win comfortably on a baking May day at Wray. 

Having been 60 for 5, Pacific sneaked up to 199 all out with useful contributions from Nuggsy, Ireland and Davis, but thanks mainly to Webbo being press-ganged into getting his pads on when he turned up to watch.   

After a delightful tea (fresh watermelon, apple and rasberry tarts, lots of quiche) Pacific routed our opposition, reducing them to 20-odd for 5 as Nuggsy and Giaco ripped through their top order. Ahmed took three more and the match was all but over, and Stacey picked up the final wicket with the oppo still 100-odd short and only half way through their overs. 

This massive Pacific win was played out in front of an unusually packed Wray Crescent, with lots of sunbathers and spectators watching throughout the day. 

NB The negotiations with the footballers seems to have worked, as they did all leave the pitch at 1pm even though they'd only been playing for 40 minutes. 

Shout out to Karl for keeping so well and taking three great catches, and Paul Davis who celebrated his first boundaries in cricket with a glass of single malt in the N19 afterwards. TI
