cancelled due to heavy rain & a saturated pitch & outfield.
A noon start to accommodate players who wished to watch the evening World
Cup final was arranged but severe inclement conditions necessitated the
cancellation 2 hours before the start making this Pacific's 18th cancelled
game of the season + 2 more which were not completed.
Secretary - Peter Hollman said "This has been the worst summer I can
remember since the Club was officially formed in 1983. It is draining the
enthusiasm of the players & the Captains are left with the task of
assembling sides trying to get commitment & overcoming such setbacks. If we
don't get a heatwave soon, players will get back into the football season &
the cricket season will just peter out.
