Won by 4 wkts
Victoria Park Community Cricket League fixture

P consolidated their position at the top of the 2nd division by completing the double over main rivals VL & therefore remaining the final side in either division without a league defeat.

VL 166-5 (16 overs). J Crutcher 61. C Rice 4-0-32-2
P 167-3 (14.2) M Ralph 83*, J Davies 49. T Smith 4-0-41-1

P's side packed with all-rounders gave Captain Hollman plenty of bowling choice, which was further enhanced by debutante Chris Rice, recruited from the nets following Neil Fox's 11th hour withdrawal.

Cambridge IIs leg spinner picked up the best figures on the night & strangled VL's innings to such an extent that 94-1 after 8 overs saw VL slow down to their sub par total of 166, becoming virtually unplayable to the VL mid order. However, all the seamers did well with both Marcel Boonaert & Jim Davies picking up a wicket apiece Tim Mileham's direct hit to run out Captain Tim Smith was another aspect to round off a great night for the team. In reply Tim Smith, in particular bowled well & VL were encouraged as P were left on 32-2.

But 129 run partnership between aussue Matthew Ralph (his highest score ) & Welshman, Jim Davies, saw the leaders virtually home with 9 runs required from 3 overs before the latter was dismissed for the 1st time in 8innings. There were no more alarms & Matt Holliday scored the winning runs leaving Matthew unbeaten on 83.

Pacific: T Mileham, L Faisal, M Ralph, J Davies, M Holliday+, M Boonaert, C Rice, P Hollman.
