Yates hits some form
Pacific v Porlock at On Tour
Sat 23 Jun 2001 at 2pm
Won by 141 runs
Friendly fixture

Saturday's match at Porlock promised to be the easiest of the tour, and so it proved. Leon Yates hit form at the right time to score an excellent 63 to push the North London club to 211-7 in 40 overs.

Pacific 211-7, L Yates 63, T Mileham 40 no
Porlock 70 all out, N Wilkinson 4-17

Tim Mileham scored 40 not out, but Ben Hardisty was hit in the head by a bouncer and was lucky to escape with a minor cut.

Porlock were never in the hunt, bowled out for 70, Nigel Wilkinson taking 4-17, though the highlight of the match was undoubtedly Steve Lay driving his car into the club's gatepost while Pacific were batting.
