Fabulous game which ebbed & flowed. Pacific even had it within their own hands when in the final over, 5 runs required there followed 2 dot balls. Hollman heard the call "it's in our own hands now boyo" Needless to say that was enough pressure for said bowler to crumble & followed it by bowling a head high full toss which was smashed for 4. The winning runs still didn't come until the last ball though. Sigh.
Earlier, there had been good contributions from most of the top order & the biggest inconvenience was waiting for the ball to be washed back to shore when it was hit into the adjacent playing field. Spares were on hand of course. Certainly 170 felt a defendable total although Isis' batting was far superior to it's bowling, indeed it was 114 before the 1st wicket fell, & Captain Steve Lay was a bowler short - hence Hollman to bowl the final over. Shudder.
XI:-Steve Lay, John Hill, Lahrie Mohammed, Ben Gibson, Adrian Duthie, Rob Bastin, Matt Holliday, Peter Hollman, Moses Hutchinson-Pascal, Darryl Roberts and Jon Webley.
