It was another closish match that we should have done a bit better in. Chasseaud inserted Daman and we started OK but leaked a few too many runs and put a few too many chances down, perhaps because people seemed more interested in kicking a football around before the match than practising their catching. So, on current batting form, we probably left ourselves too many runs to chase. Dempsey and Pandya's economy rates were not helped by the short legside boundary, though Dempsey hardly helped himself by repeatedly bowling half-trackers. 

During our innings the police came to deal with a drunkard who had shouted racist abuse at the players and stolen a couple of boundary flags. After some early wickets, Chasseaud hit 50-something at No 6 and might have liked a sit-down after getting caught behind but had to stay out as a runner for the injured Pandya. Mutz and Shaz chipped in with some runs. Pusinelli staked his claim to move up the order by hitting a quickfire cameo innings at No 9. Apologies if I've forgotten any other notable contributions with the bat but I don't have the Pacific innings to hand.
