A beautiful day at a scenic Wray ended in a comfortable victory after Pacific were inserted by genial Botany Bay skipper JJ.

Jon Webley, worn out by his cycle ride to Amsterdam, had thrust the Pacific captaincy to Toby who, not feeling at home on the mysteriously newly laid wicket, hit a slowish fifty. The consensus was that the new strip was pretty true and consistent, although Toby missed playing the ball off his nose. Sandeep made 20, Abhi 23, Aditya 38, and Tom Ireland 20 as Pacific set a decent target of 188. Boundaries were again hard to come by, with the grass still long and the outfield slow.  

A good tea was had, particularly on the M&S kiesh front - with salmon and spinach and mushroom both on offer.

Botany Bay never really looked like chasing our total down as some solid accurate bowling was followed by Krishna blasting through BB's middle order. He even broke a stump, although thankfully it wasn't a fatal break.

At one point injured clubman James Smith turned up to cheer us from the sidelines.

Later in the day, match manager Oli Haill was spotted in the World's End.
