Pacific struggled to come to terms with the tremendous assault on their
bowling by J Crouch although Darryl Roberts dropped a straight forward catch
at mid off when he was 25.

7 bowlers were used off which David Murray was
the most economical but Darryl came back well to pick up 2. The serious
chase fell away when both Lucius Faisal & David Murray were out. Again the
lower order batted with little confidence despite the trueness of the pitch.
All credit then to their bowlers especially P Thompson whose left arm spin
picked up the best figures. The 6 year unbeaten run was maintained when
Captain Nigel Wilkinson was joined at the crease by John Hill with 2 overs
to go & negotiated.
