Roberts in his annual outing top scoring.A cautious start was immediately
vindicated when at 26-0 all 10 wickets fell for only 34 more runs. The
bowling was overly penetrative but the batters succumbed meekly. in
contrast, once in the filed, our own bowling was focused & the fielding
aggressive.
Ian Lay & Darryl Roberts picked up 2 apiece before the most
settled batting of the day in the shape of brothers Chris & Mark Horner took
the home side past their target within the next 11 overs still with 20
minutes before the final hour was due to be called.
