A Pacific team fielding three debutants lost despite fine bowling from Alexander (midweek player of season probably) and Gleadow helping limit New Boys to 131/5 off 14 overs.  The reply started too slowly and Jhunjhunwala's fantastic 51 not out in 35 minutes on debut and Alexander's late flurry of 14* was in vain.  Skipper Roy got a golden duck again but kept well with two catches and a stumping.
