Chandler Raises Interest
Pacific v JP Morgan Chase Bank at Highgate CC  Tue 09 Aug 2005 at 6pm
Won 2 wickets
Other fixture

Good close game, great spirit, great atmosphere. Almost a celebratory end of season match played ina relaxed fashion although there was plenty of effort from both sides with bat & ball trying to achieve results.

Left armer Alex Stewart bowled 4 top order batters off stump or leg stump with amazing late swing & only Conrad Chandler played him with confidence & assertively, particularly off the bowling from the other end as nearby tennis players dived for cover following 2 massive 6s.

With Pacific's final pair of James Gleadow & Chandler, the returning med quick Duncan who impressed in his first spell couldn't get it back immediatly & with Pacific needing just 6 runs, a couple of wides & another spank to backward cover by Mr Chandler & the game was over with an over to spare

Team is as follows:- XI:- Sammy Purcell, James Gleadow, Rob Allum, Conrad Chandler, Shayne Rees, James Smith, Guy Wiehahn, Rob Bastin, Jon Webley, Steve Emmins (tbc), Rob Cramer & 12th Peter Hollman.

Meet at ground at 5.45pm. If the weather is clear & the start punctual, a 20/20 will enschew.
