Emmins avoids jug
Pacific v Old Fallopians at Victoria Park Pitch 1  Wed 10-May-2000
Won by 22 runs

Pacific bounced back from last week's opening match defeat with as solid a performance as Rob Allum, on his Captaincy debut, could have hoped. Rob came to the wicket following keeper Steve Emmins' dismissal.

P: 141-4 (16 overs) S Emmins 48 R Allum 32*
OF: 119-6 (16 overs) S Holliday 2 wickets.

Steve continued his bright early season form with 48 before being run out. Rob then made his intentions clear by scoring 4 6 6 6 1 from his 1st 5 balls faced !

Simon Holliday bowled steadily at first picking up 2 wickets but was then methodically taken apart by OF's Australian import who despatched each new full toss as it arrived. Poor Adam fared little better but the run rate was pegged back with Rob, & Jim Davies who was making his league debut, in particular bowled tight enough to ensure the win. A win that was made certain when he trapped the Australian lbw.
