As is symptomatic of the season when it comes to games at Springfield Park, the game was either affected by cancellation/postponement or weather - in today's game, it was the latter.

Both teams arrived at Springfield Park with the predicted forecast not looking promising for the game ahead. Pacific won the toss and elected to bowl first. Toby & Daniel opened the bowling - Daniel bowling for the first time in 2 months after a shoulder injury with both bowling really well in tandem. Daniel picked up 4 wickets with some pacey bowling - Toby could consider himself a little unfortunate, beating the bat with regularity and finding some movement on a pitch that was doing bits for the bowlers.

The rain started to fall at this point with Tim & Riz coming on but bowlers finding it increasingly difficult to grip the ball and fielders finding it increasingly difficult to catch the ball and keep their footing, other than Riz who took a blinding reaction catch, helping Tim to take two wickets. 

In the end, the weather was the victor as after 24 overs, the game was abandoned with no chance of a resumption of play.
