For Martin Cowling's final match, the honour of Captaincy was a 2 edged sword as Pacific & in particular their batsmen, put on a lamentable performance. Gnome without Canon & several other leading lights, were there for the taking but a disjointed & complacent performance failed to take any advantage. With the ball, James Gleadow & James Smith in particular made good early inroads but the resistance of Fenn & Oliver Dunthorpe was too much for the rest of the bowlers who returned limited success. The batting reply was however even worse as partnerships failed to emerge. Kurt Rademaker did top score with 30 from the position of opener & the indefatigable James Smith added 27 not out to his 3 wickets but as the tail followed the top order 95-6 became 115 all out with 34 balls remaining. XI:- Martin Cowling*, Kurt Rademaker, Guy Wiehahn, Allan Roberts, Adrian Duthie, Jaikishan Rajaraman, James Smith, James Gleadow, Matt Holliday, Todd Beattie & Peter Hollman.
