Pacific outclassed
Pacific v Anson at Oakhill Park  Sun 27-Apr-1997
Lost by 138 runs

In 1996, the Sri Lankan side Anson were 4th in the 1st Division (of 3) in the Middlesex Premier Cricket League. Not an easy game for Captain Jonathan Hardisty then.

A : 204-10 Depak 55. J Baglivi 12-3-37-3
P : 66-10 Marcus Chalkley 16. Depak 6-2-6-4

And so it proved as Pacific did not perform honourably against a mostly youth attack. Described succinctly by David Murray as pathetic.

Earlier John Baglivi produced his best form of the season but Pacific had never attained such a total batting second & so were probably psyched out from the off. So instead of an unbeaten April, results now stand as played 4 won 0 & a tough series of games to come.
