Holliday bowls a maiden over
Pacific v Isis at Queens College  Sat 03 Aug 2002 at 2pm
Friendly fixture

Overnight rain put the game in doubt but a pitch prepared at the end of the table held true & David Penhallurick was happy it did as only tea interrupted an excellent chanceless innings of 87*.

I 157-7 dec. Penhallurick 87*. S Rees 6-1-16-2. M Alexander 10-2-25-2.
P did not bat.

Pacific in the field

The Pacific bowlers toiled well & the 5 used all picked up wickets although it was 3 pronged seam attack of Roberts, Alexander & Rees that stymied the runflow. Indeed wickets feel at regular intervals & any sort of declaration looked unlikely despite Penhallurick's best efforts, Ben Hardisty in particular excelling in the covers with 2 fine catches. But as the batsman strapped on their pads the rain began to fall & 30 mins later the match was declared abandoned as a draw.

P: P Hollman, B Hardisty, J Campbell, P Attwood*, T Marshall, M Holliday, H Patel, S Rees, D Roberts, M Alexander, I Lay.

During the post match proceedings, Holliday M. breaks his duck on tour bowling a maiden over.
