Pacific v New Barbarian Weasals at Kings College Sports Ground  Sat 10 Jun 2000
Won by 4 wkts
Friendly fixture

Captain Steve Lay was able to insert & reaped the benefit as Weasels collapsed from 22-0 to 40-8 as opener Hollman began to exploit the swing conditions in a mammoth spell, ably supported by a steady Mike Alexander.

NBW: 112-10 Edgerton 36 P Hollman 14-5-20-5
P: 116-6 S Lay 36* Kirkwood 13-5-17-2

In truth the pitch was not good & as the openers fatigued the tail were able to put on 72 runs for the last 2 wickets, lead by Hurley 34 & Edgerton 36.

In reply Pšs batters also struggled but Captain Steve Lay was obstinate & determined particularly against the durable Kirkwood. Scoring at under 3 an over but maintaining enough wickets was Pšs goal & thanks to Steve this was achieved with 4 overs to spare.

P: A Duthie, D DeKeller, S Lay*, J Green, T Mileham, P Attwood+, H Patel, P Fellas, I Lay, M Alexander, P Hollman.
