PCC made it two out of two in VPCCL Division 3 with a win over Mad Moraccas, an opposition we hadn't beaten in three previous attempts. The win was built on a tight bowling performance, particularly from Ed Hart and John Deighan, who bowled half the overs and conceded only 53 runs in restricting the Moraccas to a below-par but defendable 145.
In reply, Tom Williams got off to a bright start before being caught off a ball that everyone on the boundary was calling a no ball on height for 23. After he was out, Amandeep Dhir stepped up with his best innings for Pacific to date: he scored just six off the first ten balls he faced but accelerated to reach 49 off 43 balls before being bowled by a full toss from the Moracca's fastest bowler. At the other end, Mutz Siddiqui reached 46* of his own, first with Amandeep and then with captain Deighan who made a quickfire 13 to see us home.
