A message from North Middlesex CC regarding fixtures that we'd arranged to play at their ground:

Dear Pete (and all at Pacific)

Best wishes to all you and your members and friends at this difficult time.

The England and Wales Cricket Board has now issued a recommendation that all recreational cricket matches, training and associated activities be suspended. Link to ECB Recommendation - https://ecb-comms.co.uk/1FT6-6SKA2-857G0LR48A/cr.aspx

While NMCC intend to do our best to keep our pitches and outfield in good shape so that cricket can resume as soon as it is safe to do so, we are (1) uncertain as to when this will be and (2) unclear how NMCC's league and cup commitments might be rescheduled.

With all of the above in mind, we have taken the decision to cancel all pitch bookings at NMCC during the 2020 season. We will of course let you know when we are able to make the ground available again and we will do our best to accommodate your fixture on 2 August by reinstating / rescheduling if possible.

Please also note that, on advice from Middlesex CCC we must, regretfully, prohibit the use of the nets or other cricket facilities at the Club ground until further notice.  This advice has been based on the recommendations from the ECB regarding ‘training, preseason friendlies and any associated activity’ which mean that any form of cricket practice whether arranged by the Club or even socially shouldn’t go ahead. Once again, if there is any change in the recommendations, we will let you know.

If you have any questions on the above, please do get in contact with myself and/or NMCC's Chairman, Steve Edwards.

In the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all at NMCC on the other side.

Yours faithfully,

Alex.
