Its the Rob Alum show
Pacific v Hackney Grasshoppers at Victoria Park Pitch 1  Wed 31-May-2000
Won by 21 runs

Safe to say that anyone who witnessed this game & knew nothing about cricket, but had to designate a man of the match would only have to find out 1 thing, how you spell Allum.

P: 86-3 (16 overs) R Allum 33* D Butler 25. J Owen 4-0-11-1
G: 65-6 (15.3) T Price 17. R Allum 3.3-0-9-5

Coming in at no 4 in the 6th over with the score on 23-2, he built a partnership with David Butler of 61 runs to help build a modest total of 86. Captain, Peter Hollman, held him back from the bowling to 1st change & at the half way point G were 44-0, Captain Tom Price 17, Chris Murray 16.

Hollman picked up Price LBW, but then it was the start of the Rob Allum show, as he picked up unconfirmed league best bowling figures of 5-9 in 21 deliveries. A fantastic display of quick controlled swing bowling & just blew Grasshoppers hopes away single handed.

Sadly, Rob is not only available for next week's league game against Tower Ravens because he is in the recording studio, but the following week's 1st round cup match against Newham C due to touring commitments in Spain.

Hollman said afterwards " That was a fantastic display from Rob, I even spotted the departing batters acknowleding the quality bowling after their dismissals. Not only will we miss him but I know he was desperate to exact revenge on Newham C for our ignominious league defeat last month"
