Springfield under a Simpson Sky
Pacific v Black Rose of Highgate CC at Springfield Park  Sun 06 Oct 2013 at 12.30
Lost 89 runs
Friendly fixture

A lovely sunny day saw a big Black Rose victory. Black Rose batted first and whilst losing wickets regularly always looked good for a 200+ score. Still it was a good team effort in the field. Sardar was the best Pacifician – a super catch at midwicket, a bundle of energy in the field and good bowling (although he dropped an easy return catch). Pacific's batting got off to a supremely slow start – Luke and Alex played really well, if a little sedately for those on the sidelines. Luke made his first fifty in adult cricket (with Kallis's bat). Once they were parted the seniors in the team came and went in a very quick procession.
