This was an annihilation on a baking hot day. Dragons turned up late but won the toss and opted to bat unsurprisingly. Jon Webley injured his foot in the warm up but did field. Gleadow bowled a super spell on a pitch that was slow and low to take three wickets. Smith did a good job at the other end and suffered as usual from dropped catches. Korgaonkar struggled a little with his length in his first spell and the poor quality ball suffered further from a couple of visits to the river. Tom Webley took a fine catch at deep square leg of Rademaker and then Rees and the returning Korgaonkar, who was getting huge turn, were far too good for the tail. The Dragons batsmen did not display any patience and tried to hit everything.
Tom Webley and Rob Bastin always looked comfortable although the opposition did spurn a couple of chances. Bastin took 14 from the first over. Tom freed his arms after getting to fifty and smacked a couple of huge straight sixes. Bastin hit a four for the winning runs and his fifty.
