The 2008 Golf Tourney moved out towards Harrow at Grims Dyke GC. Undulating parkland tree lined testing greens. 18 holes 5600 yards. S.S.S. 67. "One of the joy's of Grim's Dyke Golf Club is the friendly atmosphere that exists. Only rarely can members turn up to play and not find anyone to accompany them for a game. The picturesque parkland course is only 5600 yards in length, with a par of 69 (SSS 67) but with its tight fairways and tricky greens it is a very good test of golf." This website quote doesn't mention the heavy downpours that arrived with predictable regularity - one of the advantages of the stunning views out over to the west.

The competitors doubled from the 2007 comp at North Downs & a there was a new winner who won both the handicap & scratch & may now be looking to hold the 2009 tourney somewhere in Cheshire.
