Pacific finish unbeaten in League
Pacific v Caledonian Conquerors at Victoria Park Pitch 1  Tue 31-Jul-2001 at 6pm
Won by 7 wkts

With the title already secured, the only challenge for Pacific was to maintain the only unbeaten record in both divisions.

CC 116-5 (16 overs). Gray 32. J Davies 4-0-16-3
P 117-0 (12 overs). S Rees 65*, S Lay 46*.

With Peter Hollman absent in hospital undergoing surgery to a broken nose, Rob Allum still on tour with Turin Brakes, so Steve lay stepped in & succeeded with an emphatic 7 wicket win.

Earlier Welshman Jim Davies picked up 3 wickets including top scorer Gray for 32. Australians Scott Kieran & Matthew Ralph picking up a wicket a piece as the bowlers accuracy was rewarded with 5 wickets clean bowled.

The modest target was shown to be exactly that when openers Steve Lay (46*) & South African left hander Shayne Rees (65*) took Pacific home with 24 balls to spare.

Pacific: S Lay*, S Rees, A Gill+, S Kieran, M Ralph, J Davies, C Rice, (T Mileham).
