Hollman sees Pacific home
Pacific v Hackney Grasshoppers at Victoria Park Pitch 1  Wed 25-Jul-2001 at 6pm
Won by 52 runs

An excellent spell of medium seam saw 4 of Pacific's top 5 deceived & bowled by young Jake who is also representing Middlesex currently at under 14 level.

P 153-5 (16 overs). P Hollman 46*. Simon Holliday 35*. Jake 4-0-30-4
G 101-5 (12.5). P Hollman 2-0-6-2. S Rees 4-0-18-2

Unfortunately, the back up bowling was not of the same quality & P recovered from 71-4 to 153-5 thanks in the main to a partnership of 82 runs between Peter Hollman (46*) & Simon Holliday (35*).

Grasshoppers II attacked the total boldly but Shayne Rees & Peter Hollman with 2 wickets a piece broke the back of the batting with controlled out & reverse swing respectively. Mat Ralph's direct hit from 35 yards out also deserves a mention & Jim Davies for wrapping the game up with 19 balls to spare.

Pacific: Matthew Ralph, Steve Lay+, John Hill, Jim Davies, Shayne Rees, Peter Hollman*, Simon Holliday, Ian Goodall.
